Marulas, Valenzuela City - My go-to cafe is closed right now and I remember that I have yet to review that place. I've been there more than twenty (20) times already. But since it's closed, let's go to a nearby cafe.
I tried to check a cafe where we ate 2 years ago—but unfortunately, the menu clearly says "NO TAMBAY" hahah.. and they got no outlet.
Then I remembered that Morii's has a separate cafe from their restaurant, with just one store sitting between them. We will treat this cafe as a completely different entity and see if they actually differ from the main restaurant.
The Non-Negotiables (The Dealbreakers)
Wi-Fi Stability: 45 Mbps. It’s a solid connection and noticeably faster than the 33 Mbps speed over at their main restaurant branch.
Power Access: Limited. Out of the 11 total tables here (including the 2 located on the ground floor), they only have 2 sets of outlets. You might have to hunt for a spot or pray they aren't taken.
Coffee Quality: Strong and Aromatic. I really love the coffee here. Even after an hour when the ice had completely diluted, the flavor profile stayed bold and punchy. It doesn't get watery.
Comfort, Hygiene & Security: * Seating: The seats are not exactly plush, but they aren't uncomfortable either. Perfectly fine for a standard, mid-length session.
CR Status: Not a fan. To be honest, the comfort room, feels a bit neglected. It has that trapped, musty “kulob” smell to it, which takes away from the experience if you’re planning a long stay.
Staff & Service: 10/10. The staff are incredibly nice—they even personally escorted me to show me exactly where the outlets are located.
The Vibe Check (The Experience)
Parking: They do have their own parking but it is shared with other tenants.
Noise Level: Surprisingly quiet! Even though the cafe is located along the busy stretch of McArthur Highway, the indoor noise insulation holds up well. No loud distractions.
Price-to-Quality Ratio: Solid value considering the coffee holds its strength for over an hour.
Ambiance: It has a distinct identity separate from the main resto—giving off a cozy, slightly more intimate cafe energy that's conducive to tucked-away focus.
Bonus: The "Stay" Factor
Unlike their "No Tambay" neighbors down the road, the welcoming staff here makes it easy to settle down and focus. However, the combination of a kulob CR and only 2 outlet sets means you’ll want to make sure your devices are fully charged and your breaks are quick.
Zabarte, Quezon City - We're on our way to Regalado to check and try a coffee shop that is being recommended by our friend. Unfortunately - we got stuck in a heavy traffic and we have noticed this cafe and decided to try it on.
I conducted a pre-audit prior ordering my coffee and got excited but I missed something important. Curious as to what it is? Read more below!
The Non-Negotiables (The Dealbreakers)
Wi-Fi Stability: 240 Mbps? What more could you ask for a cafe?
Power Access: Wall outlets are available right by the seating areas, making it easy to plug in your laptop and push through a heavy workload.
Coffee Quality: High standards over at the bar counter - they are running a sleek, matte black La Carimali commercial espresso setup to pull their shots. ugh! My black heart. haha
Comfort, Hygiene & Security:
Seating: They use beautiful, curved wooden chairs all throughout. While they look sharp and aesthetic, they lack lower back padding for long marathon grinds and you can't even rest your back properly without lying. As a trentahin - it's a no no!
CR Status: #MayBidet. The comfort room is incredibly spacious, modern, and clean, featuring large grey wall tiles and a well-lit vanity mirror.
Security: A highly visible, glass-heavy indoor layout helps keep things feeling safe, though you should always stay mindful if working solo.
The Vibe Check (The Experience)
Parking: They have dedicated concrete parking slots right in front of the establishment, complete with an accessible PWD marking. Super convenient if you are traveling by 4 wheels or a motorcycle.
Noise Level: Even though it’s sitting right off a busy road in Zabarte, the indoor acoustics are well-managed. The layout has a cool architectural design with an indoor open-air tree well garden wrapped in glass, which helps create a zen atmosphere inside.
Price-to-Quality Ratio: I bough a 120php Americano. The quality is so good and if you're trying to cut-off sugar - they do offer "Equal Gold" as an alternative, nice 'di ba?
Ambiance: Modern industrial meets cozy minimalist. The concrete finish accent walls feature cute, clean line-art, hanging frames representing reading, art, and good coffee.
Bonus: The "Stay" Factor
The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming to the digital crowd - you won't feel out of place bringing a laptop here as the layout naturally carves out pockets for deep focus.

Verdict: B-Tier (The Vacation Vibes Hub)
(see Tier Lists here / how I do my ranking)
Why B-Tier? The parking access , high-end espresso hardware and elite-tier CR space give it a massive head start. However, the lack of full chair padding handles long-stay comfort back just a bit. A fantastic, polished fallback spot to escape the QC traffic!
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert in the coffee world and this is just my point of view as a paying customer who needs WiFi and good coffee at times.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! We planned to hunt for a new cafe around Bagumbong, Deparo, and Congress today, but we struggled to find a spot with accessible 4-wheel parking—until we circled back here.
Full disclosure: We came here today to celebrate Mother’s Day with the family, not to work. However, I initially visited this cafe for a full audit back on March 9, 2026, and the data is too good not to share.
The Non-Negotiables (The Dealbreakers)
The Vibe Check (The Experience)
Noise Level & Staff: The staff are great! They were actually "nice and cute" about us filming—they seemed genuinely happy to see us doing a funny vlog. Even though the cafe is at the busy corner of Saranay and Congressional Road Ext., the indoor noise insulation is impressive; you barely notice the traffic outside.
Bonus: The "Stay" Factor
They are very chill here. They aren't strict with how long you stay, making it a reliable "3rd place" for those days when you just need to grind through a long to-do list.

Verdict: A-Tier (The Vacation Vibes Hub)
(see Tier Lists here / how I do my ranking)
Why A-Tier? 323 Mbps is hard to beat in North Caloocan. Combined with 120php coffee and a welcoming staff, this is easily one of the best workstations in Saranay.
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert in the coffee world and this is just my point of view as a paying customer who needs WiFi and good coffee at times.
Saranay, Bagumbong, Caloocan—ang init! It's too hot in the metro and I can't take it anymore, so I decided to go to the nearest cafe in my area. I’ve been seeing this place for the first time, and I was told they just opened last April 12, 2026. Without further ado, I am here at D' Granules Cafe.
It's been almost a month. I took some time off from everything. But while on vacation, I visited various cafes with my family, you might want to visit during your road trip in Zambales and Pangasinan.
I stayed a week in each of these beautiful provinces. Short but meaningful break for me.
As of now, I am in a new cafe located at Saranay that opened last April 12, 2026. It's so exciting to be back writing some unfiltered reviews.
I am looking forward to AnoKape being a community and a common ground for people with the same interests—coffee, chill, and digital people. I don't know when and how, but I will keep on hunting for our 3rd place. <3
After this post, I will follow up with a review shortly.
Marulas, Valenzuela isn't just a busy district—it's the home turf for Fatimanians and the nearby student community. You can always feel that 'academic grind' energy here, with cafes usually flucked by students looking for their next caffeine fix.
I'm here at Le Barako Cafe—located at Marulas, Valenzuela. I love the ambiance since I love black and bare paint. The place is really quiet and I see a lot of professionals doing their business in front of their laptops.
(Verdict score in the end section)
Marulas, Valenzuela City is a home of Fatimanians and other schools neaby, so expect the cafes here to be high-energy and packed with students on their 'academic grind.'.
TeaSpoon Cafe offers a two-level indoor design that gives you plenty of seating options. I came here at 2:00 PM on a weekday, and true enough, the cafe was already flucked by students.
