Zabarte, Quezon City - We're on our way to Regalado to check and try a coffee shop that is being recommended by our friend. Unfortunately - we got stuck in a heavy traffic and we have noticed this cafe and decided to try it on.
I conducted a pre-audit prior ordering my coffee and got excited but I missed something important. Curious as to what it is? Read more below!
The Non-Negotiables (The Dealbreakers)
Wi-Fi Stability: 240 Mbps? What more could you ask for a cafe?
Power Access: Wall outlets are available right by the seating areas, making it easy to plug in your laptop and push through a heavy workload.
Coffee Quality: High standards over at the bar counter - they are running a sleek, matte black La Carimali commercial espresso setup to pull their shots. ugh! My black heart. haha
Comfort, Hygiene & Security:
Seating: They use beautiful, curved wooden chairs all throughout. While they look sharp and aesthetic, they lack lower back padding for long marathon grinds and you can't even rest your back properly without lying. As a trentahin - it's a no no!
CR Status: #MayBidet. The comfort room is incredibly spacious, modern, and clean, featuring large grey wall tiles and a well-lit vanity mirror.
Security: A highly visible, glass-heavy indoor layout helps keep things feeling safe, though you should always stay mindful if working solo.
The Vibe Check (The Experience)
Parking: They have dedicated concrete parking slots right in front of the establishment, complete with an accessible PWD marking. Super convenient if you are traveling by 4 wheels or a motorcycle.
Noise Level: Even though it’s sitting right off a busy road in Zabarte, the indoor acoustics are well-managed. The layout has a cool architectural design with an indoor open-air tree well garden wrapped in glass, which helps create a zen atmosphere inside.
Price-to-Quality Ratio: I bough a 120php Americano. The quality is so good and if you're trying to cut-off sugar - they do offer "Equal Gold" as an alternative, nice 'di ba?
Ambiance: Modern industrial meets cozy minimalist. The concrete finish accent walls feature cute, clean line-art, hanging frames representing reading, art, and good coffee.
Bonus: The "Stay" Factor
The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming to the digital crowd - you won't feel out of place bringing a laptop here as the layout naturally carves out pockets for deep focus.
Verdict: B-Tier (The Vacation Vibes Hub)
(see Tier Lists here / how I do my ranking)
Why B-Tier? The parking access , high-end espresso hardware and elite-tier CR space give it a massive head start. However, the lack of full chair padding handles long-stay comfort back just a bit. A fantastic, polished fallback spot to escape the QC traffic!
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert in the coffee world and this is just my point of view as a paying customer who needs WiFi and good coffee at times.
