Marulas, Valenzuela City is a home of Fatimanians and other schools neaby, so expect the cafes here to be high-energy and packed with students on their 'academic grind.'.
TeaSpoon Cafe offers a two-level indoor design that gives you plenty of seating options. I came here at 2:00 PM on a weekday, and true enough, the cafe was already flucked by students.
The Non-Negotiables (The Dealbreakers)
Wi-Fi Stability: Meron, but it’s a roller coaster. Started at 860 Kbps, hit 4.5 Mbps after a restart, then "sunked" to 340 Kbps after a few minutes. Can you work? Hard NO. It's too unstable for VAs, SMMs, or even basic Facebook loading.
Power Access: Meron. Outlets are too few for the tables, but not too hard to find a spot.
Coffee Quality: The coffee is good and strong—so aromatic. Stayed strong even after 4 hours.
Comfort, Hygiene & Security: Padded seats, so your back is safe. The CR is clean and yes—#MayBidet. There are a lot of CCTVs, so I felt okay leaving my gadgets for a quick break—but stay careful!
The Vibe Check (The Experience)
Parking: Limited to 4-5 motorcycles. If you're unlucky, definitely street parking only, so extra care for your vehicle is a must.
Noise Level & Staff: The staff are VERY approachable—they even gave me a complimentary cake! (Salamat, TeaSpoon!). The students are quite demure, but it still gets cringey loud sometimes, so bring headphones.
Price-to-Quality Ratio: Solid value. The brew is good and the aesthetic fits your Instagram/Tiktok feeds.
Ambiance: Definitely a "tambay" vibe. The heat is comfortable, but it gets too hot in some corners, but tolerable.
Bonus: The "Stay" Factor
They are not strict with the hours of stay. I also saw a lot of students eating outside food, so they seem very chill with their customers staying long.
